Start Here! Desktop Wallet Introduction

This FAQ provides step-by-step instructions on how to download, install, and use the Radix Desktop Wallet.

The Radix Desktop Wallet will be your gateway to Olympia mainnet, where you can create accounts, deposit XRD tokens, send and receive them, and help secure the Radix Public Network against Sybil attacks by staking XRD tokens.

For any non trivial sums of XRD, we highly encourage you to use the Radix Desktop Wallet in conjunction with either the Ledger Nano S or Ledger Nano X hardware wallets. You can read how to use these devices with the Radix Desktop Wallet in this article: Using Ledger Nano S or X with the Radix Desktop Wallet.

Use of hardware wallets is generally considered more secure than software wallets, as your private key is stored in a security chip on a device that does not expose it to the internet. If you do not have a hardware wallet or cannot use one, we have also provided advice on how to secure crypto software wallets in this article: Using a Crypto Software Wallet Securely.

If you run into any problems that are not covered in this FAQ please reach out to a member of the team or community mods. There are specific channels in Discord such as #Support and #Bug-Reports. You can also contact us at hello@radixdlt.com and we will assist in any way we can.

Radix team members or moderators will only ever communicate with you in public channels. If you receive a private message, it is likely a scammer. Be vigilant.
