If you haven't installed the Radix desktop wallet yet, follow the instructions HERE first.
Open the Radix Wallet you previously installed.
Enter your password and click Open Wallet.

On the left hand navigation bar click Send Tokens.

(Before clicking Send you should double-check the recipient address. Funds sent to the wrong address cannot be recovered.)
The Radix Desktop Wallet can contain multiple accounts, so first check that you are sending from the correct account, shown in the upper left of the wallet at all times. In this example, we have selected an account called “Satoshi Nakamoto”. Your account may be called something else, depending on what name you chose when setting up the account.
You will now see the below screen.
In order to send a token you will need to follow the next three steps.
- The recipient's Radix account address.
- The amount of tokens you wish to send, selecting the type of token in the drop-down menu. In this example we are sending XRD.
- You can choose to add a message i.e “Thanks for dinner!”. To encrypt select the “Encrypt” button. This means that only you and the recipient of the transaction will be able to read the message using the Radix Desktop Wallet.

(Before clicking Send you should double-check the recipient address. Funds sent to the wrong address cannot be recovered.)
Once you have filled in the relevant sections and double checked the address, click Send.
You will be asked to confirm the transaction with your PIN. This is also an opportunity to confirm the recipient's address and the amount being transferred.

After you enter your PIN, click Confirm Transaction.
The transaction fee is shown, and this is always paid in XRD. The small padlock symbol on the message line indicates the message is being sent encrypted.
Your transaction will be submitted to the Radix Public Network.
You will then automatically be sent to the “History” section of the wallet where you will see your new transaction processing at the top of the most recent list.

You can view your transaction in the Radix Explorer by clicking the small arrow highlighted in red. You can view the encrypted message by clicking the great text.
