Instabridge is our 2-way “bridge” between the two forms of token, eXRD and XRD. Instabridge allows holders of eXRD to swap those tokens for XRD at a 1:1 ratio, if they choose to do so. Following initial release, we will begin building Instabridge out into a service that makes it as easy as possible for as many forms of value as possible to flow in and out of the Radix network, starting with a variety of cryptocurrencies. You can read more about Instabridge here.
Before you can use Instabridge you will first need to create an Instapass account. Read our full guide on how to create your Intapass ID here. Once your Instapass account has been fully verified you will then be able to use Instabridge.
Please Login to Instapass and click “Manage” under the addresses section, check that the Ethereum and Radix wallet addresses that you want to use are set as Default. If you wish to use a different wallet address, please click “Set as Default” next to the address you wish to use. Please see our guides on how to add a new Ethereum and how to add a new Radix address. Please note that Instabridge will always automatically use your default Ethereum and Radix addresses for transfers.
When you are confident the correct wallet addresses are set to default, please login to Instabridge.
At the top of the page you can see your account summary including your KYC status, current AML tier and your base allowance. On this page you can also see your total balance of eXRD in your connected wallet, which wallet address is currently selected as your default and your transaction history. You can also check your AML details and conduct transfers.
Everyone who has passed Know Your Customer (KYC) through Instapass qualifies for tier 1. This allows you to complete up to $15,000 value of transactions per year. If you wish to increase your tier, click “Upgrade AML tier”. You can read more about AML tiers here.
Step 1: To transfer your eXRD to XRD, please enter the amount you want to convert and click “Transfer”.
Please check that the wallet address connected is the correct wallet address you wish to use. If you wish to use a different wallet address, please login to Instapass and click “Manage” under the addresses section. Then you can change whichever address you want to be your default address. Please note that Instabridge will always automatically use your default Ethereum and Radix addresses for transfers.
Step 2: Once you are certain the correct wallet addresses are selected, please enter the amount you want to send. eXRD and XRD are converted at a 1:1 ratio, so you will receive the same amount of XRD as the amount of eXRD that you sent, and vice versa, e.g. if you transfer 1000 eXRD, you will receive 1000 XRD.
Step 3: Click “Transfer” to confirm this is the amount you want to send. You will then be asked to generate the transaction through either Metamask or WalletConnect. For Metamask, please only use the Metamask browser extension as the phone app is not supported. Alternatively, you can perform this transaction manually. Whichever method you select, please make sure you double check the amount, and that the sending and receiving wallet addresses are correct.
Step 4: Follow the steps in either Metamask or WalletConnect to confirm the transaction. Do not worry if your transaction doesn’t appear in your transaction history immediately, it can take a few minutes to confirm. Please check in your connected wallet that the transaction has successfully completed. When your eXRD has been sent, a text box will appear with information about your transaction, you can safely close this.
You will be able to see the transaction in your conversion history. If a transaction hasn’t appeared after 20 minutes, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
While a transaction is pending, the status will show as “In Flight”. Once a transaction has been confirmed on the blockchain it will show as “Completed”. If the transaction has failed, the status will show as “Problem”.
Click “+ Details” on any of your conversions to see more information.
